BREAKING NEWS: Akshay's Jolly LLB 2 Gets Butchered In Pakistan Over Kashmir Angle
So Shah Rukh Khan's Raees did not make it to Pakistan, but Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil made good money in the same land.

A newspaper in Pakistan, reported that the film’s “content undermines Islam … portraying Muslims as criminals, wanted persons and terrorists”. Ugh?

Now, Pakistan has a problem with Akshay's upcoming flick Jolly LLB 2 too.

SpotboyE.com has it from the film's distributor in Pakistan Amjad Rashid that the Central Censor Board in Islambad has seen the film today, and the Boards in Karachi and Lahore will see it only tomorrow. The Islamabad Board has not approved of many dialogues which are related to terrorism in Kashmir in the film and strongly recommended a few portions where they will have to mute the dialogues/words related to the sensitive bone of contention between India and Pakistan.

The film's producer, Fox Star Studios, has been informed, and Amjad told us that they have agreed to go ahead in 'silent zone' in those portions of the film.Talking to SpotboyE.com from Pakistan, he said, "Such things happen and it has happened in Jolly LLB 2 yes, but I am sure it will all be sorted by tomorrow. We have informed the film's producer. They have said that they're okay with it. Lahore asnd Karachi Censor Boards will see it by tomorrow noon, and mostly we should have the film in our theatres by Friday morning."

A few minutes before we went online, Ali Zain of Box-Office Details told us from Lahore, "According to me, the Lahore and Karachi Censor Boards have also seen it. The film has been cleared to release in Pakistan, but with some cuts."

This is not the first instance where Jolly LLB 2, directed by Subhash Kapoor, is getting butchered. A lot of stuff in it has got tampered in its final draft.

India's Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had cleared the film but the Bombay High Court intervened, demanding that four scenes be dropped.

This was quite an unusual twist on censorship in the country, where the court has instructed the Censor Board to reinstate scenes that it has deleted--- not the other way round.

After asking the Supreme Court to over-rule that decision, the film's producer, Fox Studios, did a turnaround and said it will accept the edits ordered by the High Court.

The scenes ordered to be deleted include the ones in which a scared judge is shown hiding behind the chair, hurling of a shoe at a judge and an objectionable dialogue.

You may also recall that the film ran into a big legal controversy after the famous shoe manufacturer Bata sued the makers of the film (Fox, Subhash) and actors Annu Kapoor and Akshay for projecting the brand in a demeaning manner in the film’s trailer.

Even before the film reached the Pahlaj Nihalani led Censor Board’s table, the scene where Annu humiliates Akshay by saying that the latter wears Bata shoes had been chopped by the makers. It’s the scene in the trailer where Akshay feels humiliated and slaps Annu as a reaction to his statement.

Spotboye.com also had it that our Censor Board has asked the makers to tone down the ‘Based On A True Story’ fact in the film and even given small omissions/changes which are as follows:

The word Lucknow in the Holi song has been muffed. The changes spelt out were: Replace the word ‘Lucknow’ with ‘Local’ in following dialogues: ‘Lucknow Kachahri Mein Koi Cheez Time Pe Hui’-‘Bahar Lucknow Ke Lawyer Mujhe Kya Bulaate'. Replace the word Lucknow with ‘Awadh’ in the dialogue, ‘Yeh Delhi Nahi Lucknow Hai’.

Phew! Aage aage dekhen hota hai kya!
