Nafisa Ali Sodhi recently shared a portfolio shot of hers and announced her comeback in the world of Indian cinema as she urged the people in the industry to come up with a perfect script and a role that she could play that would challenge her. She wrote a heartfelt note along with the picture where she expresses her wish to portray an elegant role and is looking for a perfect script. In the post she also talks about the political landscape of the country and wishes for everyone to stop religious intolerance and targeting of young women. A better world for everyone is what she aims for.
Her caption read as, “I am Nafisa Ali Sodhi and I would like an elegant role to portray in Indian cinema . So looking for a perfect script as a senior actor , I need to work to express my emotions .I will not be dictated to. May God give each of us the strength to follow our dreams . Stop targeting young women in India. Stop religious intolerance. Stop dictating to Indians . India is unique and we must protect our secular fabric .Stop this divide and rule . Focus on a better world”

Nafisa Ali Sodhi revealed in 2018 that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 of Peritonial and Ovarian Cancers and has been battling it since. In a similar post last year, Neena Gupta asked for work on Instagram and had become an inspiration for many. After putting up the post seeking or work, she did end up getting some great role including Badhaai Ho, for which she was highly praised.
