Chennai Express Producer Karim Morani's Anticipatory Bail Cancelled, Asked To Surrender

On January 18Karim Morani was taken into custody by Hyderabad Police over charges of rape.

The latest on the case is that Hyderabad court has cancelled the anticipatory bail of the Bollywood producer on Tuesday and has directed him to surrender before the Hayathnagar police before March 22. Morani was slapped with a rape case by a 25-year-old Delhi-based woman.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagawat told a section of media, "The anticipatory bail has been cancelled and Morani should surrender before us by March 22. We are waiting for the order copy to reach us before we decide our future course."

The girl, who lodged a complaint in the third week of January, alleged that Morani had first drugged her and then violated her sexually. She also accused him of exploiting her by threatening to post her nude photos online if she complained to the police.
