Chunky Panday Comes Out In Support Of Sajid Khan In Sexual  Harassment Allegations, Says It Was The Season Of #MeToo
Since last year, many women have accused many Bollywood biggies and exposed them in regard to cases related to sexual harassment. A bunch of women ended up speaking against Sajid Khan accusing him of sexual harassment. Taking action against the filmmaker, the producers expelled him from film Housefull 4. Since then, Khan has only released a statement requesting everyone to wait for the reality to be out, proving him innocent in the matter. As Sajid’s sibling Farah Khan expressed her shock over the matter, many celebrities from Bollywood chose to keep mum over Sajid Khan's case. Recently in an interview with Pinkvilla, Chunky Panday, friend of Khan came out in support of the Housefull director.

Panday has made appearances in Khan’s films over the years and they both share a great bond with each other. As Chunky has known and worked with Sajid Khan for the longest in the industry, the actor came out in defense of the director and felt sorry for him as well. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Chunky disclosed how Sajid Khan’s matter came out as a shock to him and mentioned how Khan is always misunderstood. Panday explained how Sajid Khan has always been a very very outspoken person and has always been a flamboyant person. He further went on to mention that what you see is what you get in the case of Sajid Khan and mentioned how a lot of people misunderstand him as he says things for the effect and does not mean them.


Chunky Panday further added how he knows Khan since childhood and when the allegations were put on him, it was a huge shock for everyone. The actor further added, that as it was the season of the MeToo movement, everyone was getting exposed and he felt very bad for the filmmaker. Panday then explained that the producer had no choice than to drop him from the film due to the building pressure. He added, that luckily as Farhad Samji agreed to direct film Housefull 4, all went well. Speaking about the cast of the film losing Khan as the director, Panday explained that it wasn’t easy and they all felt bad when they lost Sajid Khan.

Chunky Panday said, "I know Sajid since childhood. Of course, when these allegations came, it was a shocker to everyone, you know it was the season of MeToo, and everyone was getting exposed. So, we really felt bad. We had no option, the producer had a lot of pressure to drop him from the film (Housefull 4). Luckily, Farhad Samji agreed to do it. Meanwhile, on the work front, Chunky Panday recently made an appearance in director Sujeeth’s Saaho and will soon be seen in Prasthanam co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, and Ali Fazal in pivotal roles.
