Kangana Ranaut is getting attacked from all corners. She had grabbed headlines when Apurva Asrani accused her of usurping the writing credits of Simran and now she has been sent a legal notice for allegedly hijacking Ketan Mehta's Rani Lakshmi Bai biopic.
So here's what happened.
National Award winning filmmaker Ketan Mehta has sent a legal notice to Kangana stating that she is trying to hijack his pet project on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai. Speaking to a news agency, Ketan confirmed the news saying, "Yes it is true. We have sent a notice to Kangana as I think there is an attempt of hijacking a film."

Ketan had a project on similar lines which he had announced in June 2015. Kangana was a part of the project, and thus was allegedly privy to all the multiple drafts of the film. However, a couple of years down the line, the filmmaker and Kangana parted ways. Now that Kangana is set to make her own biopic on Rani Lakshmi Bai, Ketan is furious that she has used his research material and gone ahead to announce her own separate project.

Ketan said, "Kangana being privy to all the documents and research material along with the script shared with her, has knowingly committed the act of trying to hijack the project in collusion with Producer Kamal Jain & others."
Ketan only came to know of Kangana's film when he read it in the papers. He had already moved on and brought in an international producer for his project, and now he gets to hear about Kangana's project.
