Abhishek Bachchan is all set to star in Dinesh Vijan’s next project, and the actor recently took to his social media to announce his upcoming film ‘Dasvi’ as the film goes on floors. The film, titled Dasvi, will see Abhishek Bachchan playing the lead role of ‘Ganga Ram Chaudhary.’ Going by the title, it seems Abhishek will play the role of a man who hasn’t passed the tenth grade.
Abhishek Bachchan recently shared the first look of the film, giving fans a gglimpse of his interesting character in Dasvi. Fans were excited as Abhishek Bachchan dropped the first look. It shows him in a rugged avatar, looking confidently at the camera. He can be seen wearing a shawl over his outfit, and has gold earrings. The poster also reveals that the shooting of the film has begun today!

Dasvi, a hilarious social comedy also stars Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur, apart from Abhishek Bachchan. It will be directed by debutant Tushar Jalota, while the film is written by Ritesh Shah. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Sandeep Leyzell and Shobhana Yadav.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, Abhishek Bachchan will be shooting for the film in Agra. Abhishek Bachchan will be playing the character of an SSC failed Chief Minister. “The title of the film is Dasvi, which indicates 10th grade, as Abhishek’s character is that of a SSC failed Chief Minister. The film is unlike anything made in Bollywood as the narrative is entangled with a lot of humour against the backdrop of politics,” a source told Pinkvilla.
