De De Pyaar De Box-Office Collection, Day 2: Love Increases for Tabu-Ajay-Rakul's Naughtiness
The romantic-comedy De De Pyaar De which released last Friday began on a good note at the box-office. The movie minted Rs 10.41 crore on day one and now the day 2 figures are here. The numbers prove that this film is about to enjoy a great run at the ticket windows. De De Pyaar De has minted Rs 13.39 crore on the second day and that takes its total 2 day business to Rs 23.80 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter, put out the numbers and wrote, “#DeDePyaarDe jumps on Day 2... Strong word of mouth has come into play... Metros rocking... Tier-2 cities and mass circuits show upward trend... Should score big on Day 3... Fri 10.41 cr [incl Thu previews], Sat 13.39 cr. Total: ₹ 23.80 cr. India biz. #DDPD”

According to Box Office India, the collections are even better than those of Vicky Kaushal’s Uri- The Surgical Strike. Going by the recent trend, the film seems to rake in good numbers on Sunday too.

SpotboyE Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film 3.5 stars and wrote, “Awkward situations, hilarious lines (thank you writers Ankur Jain and Luv) and a character like Jimmy Shergill who one feels deserves seetis for yet another unforgettable performance. Wonder how he churns out so many impressive avatars, and mind you-  no publicity interviews, no hi-drama quotes in interviews, no PRs calling yeh story kar de uski please.

Speaking of the characters, he wrote, “Obviously you know from the trailer that the film is a Pati, Pani Aur Woh between Devgn, Tabu and Rakul. And you know, I never waste your time and my space in writing the story anyway. But who scores the highest marks amongst the three is what you might be wanting to know. Trust me, it's a photo-finish. Are you surprised? There's a line in the film which is told to Tabu two-three times, 'Aap kaise kar leti hain?' So apt! Ajay's lazy elegance and wry humour fit his character to a T. And Rakul? Well, she blew me away! So much confidence? How come?”
