Deepika Padukone Enjoys A Delightful Sunset With Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday And Shakun Batra; Sid Gives A Sneak-Peek By The Sea
Deepika Padukone is back to the grind! After spending some quality time with husband Ranveer Singh during the lockdown, due to COVID-19, Deepika had dashed off to Goa to kick-start the shoot of Shakun Batra’s next, which is touted to be a domestic noir. Shakun Batra’s upcoming directorial also stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi aka Gully Boy’s MC Sher. After wrapping up the Goa schedule, the trio was often snapped by the shutterbugs while shooting in the city. This morning, the star cast left for Alibaug to begin another schedule of the film.

A while back, Siddhant took to social media and gave us a sneak-peek into their boat ride and a delightful sunset they’ve enjoyed while on their way to Alibaug. MC Sher shared a picture featuring Deepika Padukone and Shakun Batra, with an enchanting view. On his Insta stories, Siddhant shared another silhouette picture featuring the entire cast of the film with the director. In the caption box, Siddhant called everyone sunset lovers.

Shakun Batra’s next is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Deepika, Siddhant and Ananya in the leading role. Its first schedule was wrapped in Goa, last month and it is expected to release early next year.

Earlier speaking about Shakun Batra’s film, Dippy had told HT, “Although the overall tonality of the film is slightly lighter than my last film, in terms of inner, emotional turmoil my character goes through, it’s quite challenging. The overall genre of the film is something we haven’t seen much in Indian cinema; it’s called domestic noir. I don’t think that’s a genre we are very familiar with, but at the same time, the audience is completely ready for it, as we have been exposed to that genre in different ways, whether through Hollywood films or OTT platforms. What I enjoy and look forward to, as far as this film is concerned, Shakun has this strong point with people and relationships. As an audience/ actor I have enjoyed watching and performing these sort of films, whether Piku (2015), Tamasha (2015), Love Aaj Kal, films that deal with intricate human relationships.” (ALSO READ: Deepika Padukone Is 'Certainly Not Complaining' About Lockdown And The Reason Is Hubby Ranveer Singh)

Bhumi Pednekar Reveals She Wants To Be In Best Films; Says ‘I Want To Explore All Genres And Put Up Superlative Performances’
Young Bollywood star Bhumi Pednekar has carved a niche for herself in the film industry with her brilliant acting skills. The versatile actress will be seen next in a horror-thriller titled Durgamati, which is releasing in December. Bhumi is headlining this project and has been positioned as the ‘hero’ of the project shouldering the film that is being produced by Akshay Kumar. Bhumi Pednekar says she wants to sink her teeth into every genre and put up great performances in them.

Bhumi says, “I want to explore all genres and put up superlative performances in each one of them. As an artiste, that is my personal ambition. I want to be in the best films that are being made in India today and put up diverse performances that test me, push me to the max. I don’t want to make a genre or a type of film my niche. I want to do it all and try and excel in every project that I take up. Durgamati, for me, was one such project.“

Bhumi is thrilled that Durgamati pushed her to deliver one of her best performances. She says, “I knew it will help me push the envelope and I will get to expand myself as an artiste. It was definitely a huge learning experience for me. Horror is a very tough genre because you have to be convincing to an audience who knows that what they are seeing is not real. So, the performances have to carry the film and deliver outstanding entertainment to audiences. I wanted to experience this genre and I was sure that I would be able to deliver a solid performance.”

Bhumi is confident that audiences will give her a lot of love for Durgamati. She says, “I’m very hopeful that audiences will give me as much love as they have given me for all my performances so far, when Durgamati releases. I consider myself fortunate that people have always supported and validated my performances and film choicest.” Also Read: Durgamati: Bhumi Pednekar Unveils The Character Poster; Leaves The Audience On A Hook With Her Caption ‘Victim Or Mastermind’

Dimple Kapadia's 10-Minute Role In Christopher Nolan’s Tenet Has Her Gushing-EXCLUSIVE

Dimple Kapadia's 10-Minute Role In Christopher Nolan’s Tenet Has Her Gushing-EXCLUSIVE
She is seen in barely 10-15  minutes of  Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. And yet the very beautiful Dimple Kapadia claims it has changed her life. In an interview to PTI, Dimple claims, “I think doing Tenet has really changed my life. I was always a reluctant actor, I kept putting things off and not doing them. But  Tenet has changed that for me. I'm raring to go now. I want to do a lot of work now, good work."

That, coming from a reluctant actor who once had the world at her feet—the Bollywood world, that is—is priceless. At one time in her career Dimple was cast in powerful life-changing female-empowering transformative roles in films like Mahesh Bhatt’s Kaash, Kalpana Lajmi’s Rudaali, Gulzar’s Lekin and Govind Nihalani’s Drishti.

But Dimple’s mind was just not on her career. In an interview to me some years ago she had laughed off her lack of seriousness about her career saying, “There aren’t enough good scripts. Besides, I am lazy! There you finally got the honest truth out of me!  I honestly need good scripts and directors. I just hope it happens soon. There has to be something inviting or something fun for me to give so much time to. How many films have I done in the last ten years? Not more than six to seven, I am sure. Though I am not counting, Look, I know people like you say you miss me on screen. That's very kind. But I have my own life and very hectic and turbulent life. There are so many ups and downs.”

And now a brief ill-defined role in a Christopher  Nolan's mind-boggler where she’s completely miscast as an arms dealer has changed her attitude to her life and career?  Is this just one of her jokes? I know Dimple is capable of it. I know she has never taken herself or her stardom seriously. Is this just a promotional gambit for Tenet?

It’s sad that our actors, even the best of them, have their priorities so mixed up.  Even a fleeting incoherent part in a big international project is worth more than all the outstanding work the actor has done in her career.
