Cannes Film Festival is one of the most talked-about movie events. The 75th annual Cannes Film Festival commenced on 17th May and will conclude on 28th May with much pomp. Many Bollywood celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Pooja Hegde, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with her family, and Aditi Rao Hydari among others are in France attending the prestigious festival. Notably, on day 1, Deepika made a smashing entry in Sabyasachi's sequence saree and looked every bit of a diva while posing on the red carpet.
The Om Shanti Om actress took to her Instagram handle to share a couple of her stunning photos and wrote, “The sari is a story I will never stop telling.No matter where we are in the world, it has its place” said Sabyasachi Mukherjee…and I couldn’t agree more! @festivaldecannes.” Deepika looked drop-dead gorgeous in a stylish saree with her hair wrapped up in a high bun, giving us retro vibes. To amp her look, she opted for kohl-rimmed eyes, winged eyeliner, and nude lipstick. Her makeup game looked on point. However, several netizens are not impressed with Deepika’s retro look and badly trolled her. Many users called her out in the comments section for her choice of outfit and called it a ‘disaster.’ While one user wrote, “" Ugghh why she go goes nuts in fashion when On international platform,” another said, “Disaster totally....she could do better...” A third user reacted, “Honestly, I don't like the look.. Should be more rich.”
To note, Deepika Padukone has indeed made the entire country proud as she is on jury duty at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, which is being held in France.
