Deepika Padukone, who is a jury member at the ongoing Cannes film festival, is making heads turn with her fabulous sartorial choices. She recently slayed the red carpet in a one-shoulder billowing tangerine gown which has a huge trail. Deepika looked drop-dead gorgeous while walking the ramp with utmost grace and style. However, her outfit seemed to create an obstruction for her as she was seen struggling to manage her gown. And, this has miffed several netizens who trolled the actress for wearing an uncomfortable outfit at the festival.
In a viral video, the Piku actress was seen constantly adjusting the trail of her gown. Her team and colleagues were seen sweeping the trail away from her path at the prestigious festival. This did not go down well with some trolls who took a dig at Deepika. Taking to the comments section of the post, one user wrote, “this is painful to watch! Indian celebrities have still not got it right when it comes to events like this! Sad.” Another reacted, “Lo karwaali na berzzati? Interestingly, this year Deepika Padukone has added another feather to her glowing hat as she attended Cannes 2022 as a jury member. Speaking to Variety about joining the jury for the first time, the actress admitted that she 'wasn’t ‘entirely familiar’ with others at the festival. The Gehraiyaan actress also mentioned that being invited as a jury member at Cannes came as a surprise to her.
“They [the festival management] seem so convinced about why they made that decision. And it makes me sit back and think sometimes maybe I’ve not given myself enough credit. And that’s okay too, because, I don’t want to be feeling like, like this huge achievement or whatever. If I’ve landed here today, without even realising it, I must be doing something right,” Deepika was quoted saying.
