Deepika Padukone Out Of Majid Majidi’s Ishaan Khatter Starrer
This morning Ishaan started shooting for Majid Majidi’s ambitious Indian project, Beyond The Clouds, but Deepika was nowhere to be seen
Majid Majidi has announced that Deepika Padukone will not be a part of his maiden Indian project, Beyond The Clouds. Deepika had undergone a look-test at Dhobi Ghat for the film but she did not make the cut.
While Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khatter will make his debut with the film, buzz is Majidi has zeroed in on another A-list actress for the female lead.

Deepika, whose Hollywood debut xXx: Return Of Xander Cage too failed to make a splash in Indian theatres, had gone all out and dressed like a street urchin, with tattered clothes and matted hair, for the look test which happened in November, last year.
Majid Majidi himself made the announcement at a press conference this morning before he kicked off the first schedule of the film here in Mumbai.

When quizzed if Deepika is a part of the film, Majidi, with the help of an Iranian translator said, “I want to work with Deepika. But for this film we thought we will go with new faces.”
His casting director Honey Trehan had spoken about the filmmaker's plans about the film, saying: "It is an Indian story and will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and Kashmir. It will take off towards the year end or early 2017 and is a signature Majidi film with new takes on relationships and emotions."
