Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on November 14 and 15 at the picturesque Lake Como, Italy. The duo then hosted 3 receptions in India – one in Bangalore and two in Mumbai. However, soon after, the two returned to work to fulfill their professional commitments.|
Now that the actor’s film, Simmba, has finally hit theatres (and opened to a great figure at the ticket windows), the couple has finally taken off for their honeymoon. The two left last night and were twinning yet again. While Deepika opted for a black turtle neck pullover and teamed that with a long skirt and boots, the actor too was all black in a tee, jeans and a jacket. They walked hand-in-hand as the shutterbugs clicked them.
DeepVeer is also going to celebrate the actress’ first birthday after their wedding during their honeymoon. Talking about the plans, Deepika had told a portal, “It's going to be extra special this time. It's going to be a much-needed break, combined with the honeymoon and my first birthday (as a wife). It's all of these things combined and hopefully, also the celebration of the success of Simmba."
Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview to Filmfare, the actress has revealed that she and Ranveer got engaged 4 years ago. She said, “When I look back, six months into it I was pretty much emotionally invested in us. After that it was when do we get married? I was never unsure about him. Of course, in a six-year-long relationship, you go through your ups and downs but we never broke up. There was no major fight or saying let’s take time off and figure this out. We’ve fought; we’ve had our ups and downs. But we stuck through all of that. We got engaged four years ago... No one knows this. We got engaged four years ago. Only his parents and my parents and our respective sisters knew about it.”
