Deepika Padukone Spends A Fun Evening With Rishi Kapoor And Neetu Singh In NYC
After being declared cancer-free, Rishi Kapoor had an adorable visitor in the form of Deepika Padukone
It came as a huge sigh of relief to everyone when it was announced that Rishi Kapoor is cancer-free. Filmmaker Rahul Rawail was the first to break the happy news on social media by writing, “RISHI KAPOOR (CHINTU) is CANCER FREE!!!!” The actor and his family had never directly opened up on his illness, but he had been undergoing treatment for the same in New York.
While, he was recuperating in New York, several celebrities paid him a visit, now after he has been declared cancer-free, Deepika Padukone spent some quality time with the Kapoor and wife, Neetu. The lady took to her Instagram page and shared a couple of pictures with hubby Rishi Kapoor and Deepika and wrote, “Such a fun evening with adorable @deepikapadukone .. gave lot of love n warmth ”

Recently, while speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Rishi Kapoor for the first time spoke about the deadly C. He said, "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free." The senior actor also informed that there is still some time for him to come back as his treatment is not over yet, “I will have to do a bone-marrow transplant which in all probability should take another two months minimum.”
Rishi even spoke about his family being a strong support system and added, “Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all. Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned. My kids Ranbir and Ridhima have really shouldered my problems.”
It’s indeed amazing to see our celebs fighting through the deadly C with such strength. Be it Sonali Bendre, Irrfan Khan, Tahira Kashyap and now Kapoor, it’s indeed a good sign.
