After her no-win at National Awards, a disappointed Deepika leaves Mumbai
When Deepika Padukone was conspicuous by her absence at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s bash to celebrate his National Award win, there were loud whispers in the industry about Dippy being upset about losing the Best Actress honour.

Deepika won all major awards for her performance in Piku, but it was ‘rival’ Kangana Ranaut who walked away with the recognition (for Tanu Weds Manu Returns) at the 63rd National Film Awards (Amitabh Bachchan bags National Award for Best Actor, Kangana is the Best Actress,March 28th).

Though sources close to the actress had claimed that she is busy shooting for her maiden Hollywood venture, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, seems the crying-over-National-Awards theory cannot be ruled out completely.

SpotboyE has got some pics of Deepika reaching Toronto airport early today.

This means Dippy was very much in Mumbai on Monday, when Bhansali threw a bash for winning the Best Director award for Bajirao Mastani (SRK attends Bhansali’s National Award win bash,March 29th).

Bad team spirit!
