Dhanush Makes Directorial Debut With Tamil Film Power Paandi

Few days after announcing that he will produce Rajinikanth’s next, Dhanush has revealed that he will be making his directorial debut with Tamil film, Power Paandi, to star Rajkiran in the lead role. He revealed the first look of the movie today.
A source close to the actor says, “It will be a fun-adventurous film. Coincidentally, Dhanush's father, Kasthuri Raja, too, made his directorial debut with Rajkiran in 1991 with En Rasavin Manasile. Also, this is Rajkiran’s 25th year in the industry. So the film’s crew is very excited.”
Reportedly, the team begins shooting for the film today in Chennai. While the rest of the cast is yet to be finalised, Prasanna has been roped in to play Rajkiran’s son. Sean Roldan will score the music and Velraj is the DOP of the project.
So, will Dhanush feature in the film too? “That’s yet to be decided,” asserts the source.
Dhanush made his Bollywood debut with Raanjhanaa (2013) which featured Sonam Kapoor alongside him. He then worked with Amitabh Bachchan in R Balki’s Shamitabh (2015).
