Dil Bechara Trivia: Did You Know Sushant Singh Rajput’s Voice In The Climax Scene Was Dubbed After His Demise?
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020. After his untimely demise, his last film, Dil Bechara was released on the OTT platform which made everyone misty. However, did you know that his voice was dubbed in his last film, Dil Bechara? As some bits of dubbing were remaining, a dubbing artist was organised at the last moment who then lent his voice to the character; and that artist is Ishq FM’s, RJ Aditya. The RJ recently spoke to Miss Malini where he revealed the process of dubbing for Sushant and how he bagged the opportunity after a lot of audition.

RJ Aditya said, “I think how it all started off was after the really shocking and unfortunate death of Sushant. Nobody could have ever thought that would happen. I think after that, there was a bit of voice work left for the movie which Sushant couldn’t do. And the production team of Dil Bechara was looking for people and had tried out various voice actors to do it for them but I guess they hadn’t found one. That’s when someone from Mukesh Chhabra’s office reached out to me and asked me to try out Sushant’s voice. They sent me a voice clip from MS. Dhoni that I was supposed to try. And well, it took me some time because I had never really tried out Sushant’s voice before even though I’ve done many other voices. So, this was the first time I was doing his voice. But as soon as I sent my audition, I got a call from Mukesh Chhabra’s office saying that Mukesh wants to speak to me.”

Talking about preparations, Aditya said he took 2 more days to prep for Sushant’s voice as it was not just about mimicking but also getting the emotions of the character right.

RJ Aditya even shared a post on his Instagram where he said how the OTT platform mentioned his name in the ‘Special Thanks’ category. Along with the screenshot, he even attached the audition voice clip that was from MS Dhoni. ALSO READ: Filmfare Awards 2021: Farah Khan Bags The Award For Best Choreography For Dil Bechara; Calls It Special And Dedicates It To Sushant Singh Rajput
