Dilip Kumar Health Update: Madhur Bhandarkar Pays A Visit To The Ailing Actor; Confirms The Veteran Is Stable And Recovering
On Sunday, June 6, 2021, a news agency reported about veteran actor Dilip Kumar being hospitalised at PD Hinduja after he complained of breathing issues. The news was confirmed by his wife Saira Banu; following which came many social media posts praying for his speedy recovery. Today filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar paid a visit to the ailing superstar. The Fashion director is a huge admirer of the veteran actor, he also met Saira Banu and spoke about the actor's health.

He confirmed that the actor is now stable and recovering. The actor who is aged 98 has been in and out of the hospital in the past few years, because of his health issues. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar whom the actor addresses as his younger sister said, “The Covid situation is such that any exposure to the outside can be very dangerous especially for the older people. I’ve known him(Dilip Kumar) since the time I  came into this industry. He has always been a  pillar  of strength  for me.”

Meanwhile, his wife said that the doctors are investigating the reason for his illness and she prays for his recovery. Dr Parkar informed the actor being on oxygen support and being diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion. This occurs due to a drop in oxygen. He also assured the actor will be discharged in the next 2-3 days.

Saira Banu also rubbished the rumours of the actor’s death, urging people not to believe on WhatsApp forwards.
