Dilip Kumar Undergoes Successful Pleural Aspiration Procedure; Veteran Actor Will Be Discharged Tomorrow

Bollywood veteran actor Dilip Kumar underwent a successful pleural aspiration procedure on Wednesday, revealed Faisal Farooqui in a tweet. Taking to Twitter, Farooqui said he personally spoke with Kumar’s doctors at the hospital. He continued to share that the doctors are optimistic Dilip Kumar will be discharged tomorrow. Farooqui also thanked Dilip Kumar’s fans and well-wishers for all the prayers. The veteran actor was admitted to a Mumbai hospital on June 6, after he complained of breathlessness. Kumar Saab was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion.
The update by Faisal Farooqui was re-tweeted on Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter handle. Farooqui tweeted, “Thank you for your prayers. A successful pleural aspiration procedure was performed on Dilip Saab. I personally spoke to Dr. Jalil Parkar and Dr. Nitin Gokhale. They are optimistic that he will be discharged tomm (Thursday).’

Meanwhile, Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu had shared an update on the actor’s health on June 7. She revealed the veteran actor was stable and will be discharged soon. Speaking with ANI, the superstar’s doctors said he’s health is improving and his problem of breathlessness has also subdued. The doctor revealed that the actor continues to be on oxygen support still. Dilip Kumar’s doctor said, “His condition is stable now. Even though he is in the ICU, he is not on a ventilator. Bollywood celebrities like Dharmendra, and Madhur Bhandarkar visited the veteran actor at the hospital recently. Dharmendra had also shared pictures. The Fashion director revealed the veteran actor is stable and recovering, after his hospital visit.
