This year, due to COVID-19, movie buffs saw less of their favourite Bollywood actors spilling their magic on the silver screen. While SRK has not officially announced his next venture since Aanand L Rai’s Zero, Akshay Kumar released his 2020’s first film, Laxmii, a couple of days back on Disney+Hotstar. Before the lockdown was imposed, early this year, Akki had released the trailer of Sooryavanshi, whose release has been pushed to next year. While the pandemic affected this year’s film business, fans are already excited for upcoming films with theatres re-opening following new norms.
SpotboyE recently conducted a poll on social media and asked users to vote for the biggest firecracker at the box office and the options we provided were- Ajay Devgn, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. Guess who’s leading the game? Well, it’s none other than the Badshah of Bollywood. Yes, you heard that right! 53% of netizens voted for SRK making him a real firecracker at the box office. SRK was followed by Akshay Kumar, who received 24.1% votes, and Ajay Devgn who got 15.1% votes. Lastly, only 7.8% netizens voted for Aamir Khan.
On work front, Shah Rukh Khan is rumoured to be doing War director Siddharth Anand’s Pathan. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead roles. Akshay Kumar, on the other hand, has his plate full with different projects. After wrapping up the shoot of Bell Bottom in Scotland, Akki is busy shooting for Prithviraj. He also has Atrangi Re and Bachchan Pandey in the pipeline.
Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha’s release has been pushed to next year, Christmas, while Ajay Devgn will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, RRR and Maidaan. (ALSO READ: Mogul: After Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan To Kick-Start Gulshan Kumar’s Biopic In 2021 – Reports)
