Farhan Akhtar Comes Out In Support Of Sachin Tendulkar's Son Arjun Post His IPL 2021 Selection; Tweets 'To Throw The Word ‘Nepotism’ At Him Is Unfair'
As some netizens ruled out Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin Tendulkar, got selection in IPL 2021 as nepotism, actor Farhan Akhtar made a tweet in support of him

Recently, auction for IPL 2021 took place. The bidding was an intense one but among all the cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar called for attention. Jr Tendulkar got signed at base price by Mumbai Indians team. After his selection, a few netizens called out his selection as nepotism and objected to his selection. Now, actor Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor Farhan Akhtar has tweeted in support of Arjun Tendulkar.
The actor wrote that calling Arjun Tendulkar's selection as nepotism is harsh and unfair. He praised Arjun's dedication as they visit the same gym and requested fans that to not tamper his enthusiasm even before he has begun. Farhan Akhtar wrote, "I feel I should say this about #Arjun_Tendulkar. We frequent the same gym & I’ve seen how hard he works on his fitness, seen his focus to be a better cricketer. To throw the word ‘nepotism’ at him is unfair & cruel. Don’t murder his enthusiasm & weigh him down before he’s begun."
While many netizens lauded Farhan Akhtar for his words, he even received backlash from many. His girlfriend Shibani Dandekar retweeted the same post and wrote, "THIS!!!" showing her agreement with him. Check out Farhan Akhtar's post below:

As Arjun Tendulkar got selected for Mumbai Indians, his sister Sara Tendulkar also made several posts on Insta stories saying that she is proud of him.
