Farhan Akhtar Deletes His Facebook Account. But Why?
Farhan Akhtar has been really active on social media. However, this morning, the actor took to Twitter to give out a shocker to all his fans. The actor announced that he had deleted his Facebook account permanently.


Farhan's tweet read, "Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account. However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active (sic)."

Farhan hasn't given out any specific reason for his action, but the reason is quite obvious.

His actions backlink to the current global controversy surrounding Facebook. The billion-dollar company is facing criticism over the claims that Cambridge Analytica, a UK-based data analysis firm, which was hired by Donald Trump during his 2016 election campaign, harvested and misused data of over 50 million members.

Not just Farhan, there are many other big names who have quit the popular social media platform. Elon Musk, Jim Carrey, to name a few.
