8 years since the release of Rock On!!, the team is now back with a bang. The makers have just released the poster of Rock On 2. The poster sees the main leads Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli along with the new addition to the cast – Shraddha Kapoor and Shashank Arora.

The sequel to the musical has been directed by debutant director Shujaat Saudagar.
Team Rock On 2 built quite a bit of suspense around the poster. Farhan announced last night how the poster will be unveiled today morning. And since morning, the leads – Farhan, Arjun, Purab and Shraddha have constantly been chatting on Twitter – each one asking the other who has the new poster. It was finally Shraddha who shared the image on her Twitter account.
Rock On!!, which was released in 2008, was a big hit and marked the acting debut of Farhan. While he won acclaim for his nuanced performance, Arjun bagged the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role. Ever since the film became a hit, talks about a sequel were on. However, producer Ritesh Sidhwani had clearly stated that he won’t make a sequel until he finds the “right script to take the story forward.”
Much like its prequel, the music of Rock On 2 has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The film hits theatres on November 11.
