Film Industry To Abide By The 15 Days Curfew Regulations; FWICE Demands Financial Help From Maharashtra CM For Daily Wage Workers
As Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray announced 15-days strict Curfew in Maharashtra to control the outbreak of Coronavirus, Film Industry expressed its displeasure and revealed to reach the CM to discuss the same. FWICE's BN Tiwari revealed that the industry will face a major financial loss because of this curfew. They were going to request the CM to let the shooting of films, TV shows and ads continue, however, now they have decided to abide by the curfew.

Ashok Dubey of the FWICE stated that the film industry will follow the curfew, but asserted that the Government should extend financial help to daily wage earners. He said, "We are going to follow the curfew and therefore all shootings will be put on hold till April 30. But we would want the government to financially help our daily wage workers, We have the entire list with account numbers which we can share with the government. The daily wagers of the industry are first to get hit once a shooting stops or is on hold. We don't want another exodus scenario and therefore request the CM to help our industry workers too like he is helping in the other sectors".

He also stated that FWICE has requested the CM To let the constructions of sets that are underway get completed. "We would want the government to allow us to complete the construction of the sets that are under construction we will make sure that our setting workers stay at the location till the completion and follow Covid appropriate norms too," he said.
