FILMFARE AWARDS 2017: Aamir Khan & Alia Bhatt Take The Black Lady Home
The two most coveted awards – The Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) and The Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) have been announced and the winners are Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt for Dangal and Udta Punjab respectively.

Alia Bhatt thanked Karan Johar in her winning speech.



Dangal was adjudged the Best Film of 2016 and its director Nitesh Tiwari won the Best Director trophy.

Sonam Kapoor was awarded the Filmfare Critics Award For Best Actor (Female) for her power-packed performance in Neerja and Shahid Kapoor -Manoj Bajpayee bagged Filmfare Critics Award For Best Actor (Male) for their roles in Udta Punjab and Aligarh respectively.

Critics’ Award For Best Film went to Ram K Madhvani for Neerja.

Meanwhile, the Best Debut (Male) went to Diljit Dosanjh (Udta Punjab), while Ritika Kapoor was awarded the Best Debut (Female) for Saala Khadoos. Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award and Amit Mishra won the Filmfare R.D. Burman award for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Furthermore, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari was declared the Best Debut Director for Nil Battey Sannata.
