FINALLY! Karni Sena Takes A U-Turn, WITHDRAWS PROTEST Against Padmaavat

Last evening, the members of Shri Rajput Karni Sena announced that they are willing to withdraw their ban against Ranveer Singh- Deepika Padukone- Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat...

Here's a big and equally surprising news! Shri Rajput Karni Sena has announced to withdraw its protest against director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, Padmaavat. Yogendra Singh Katar, Mumbai leader of the Shri Rajput Karni Sena, was instructed to watch the film by organisation's National President, Sukhdev Singh Gogamadi. After watching the film, the Sena decided to withdraw protests.

“There is no such objectionable scene between Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji and Queen Padmini of Mewar which hurts the sentiments of Rajputs. Shri Rajput Karni Sena takes back their protest and will help the administration to release the film in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat as well as across all cinema houses in India," said Yogendra Singh.

This comes as a huge shock to many as the reversal of Karni Sena's thoughts in just few weeks of movie's release is extremely weird. Those who were once slamming the film, vandalising theatres, marching protests, are now ready to promote the same film and even facilitate its release in banned states.

What's more surprising is that the body is now saying Padmaavat glories Rajput valour. brought another update related to the film, just a while back. Sadly, a 19-year-old girl has been allegedly raped by a man inside a movie theatre, playing Padmaavat, in Hyderabad. The man has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The girl in question met the rapist through social media. On Monday, they went to watch Sanjay Leela Bhansali's recently released Padmaavat in Hyderabad's Prashanth Theatre, where the man committed the heinous crime. Apparently, the hall had a sparse attendance and there wasn't anybody sitting near them.

Coming back to Karni Sena withdrawing protests, it's definitely a good news for Team Padmaavat but we're sure many would have this question in their minds, 'why all the drama?'
