Gangubai Kathiawadi: Hrithik Roshan To Star Opposite Alia Bhatt? Actor To Play Don Haji Mastan's Character

On the occasion of Diwali, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced two big projects- Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi and his other magnum opus Baiju Bawra. Post his announcement, names of actors and actresses, who may or may not star in the film, have been making headlines. It was around the same time when the Raazi actress had taken to confirm the same while announcing her next with SLB. But Alia’s fans want to know who she will be paired opposite? Maybe Hrithik Roshan?
Well, we are not saying so. If latest reports are to be believed, the Padmaavat director has approached War actor to be a part of his film. According to a report in Filmfare, SLB has approached Hrithik to play yesteryear’s don Haji Mastan's character in the film. Gangubai Kathiawadi will reportedly go on floors in December this year. Although Hrithik hasn’t given a nod to this project, if the rumours turn out to be true, it will be Hrithik’s first collaboration with Alia Bhatt. A few days back, reports were also doing the rounds that Ajay Devgn too may star in SLB’s project. Talking about the film, Alia the film is based on one of the chapters of Hussain Zaidi’s Mafia Kamathipura, in which Gangubai was the only brothel madam to own a black Bentley.
However there’s no official confirmation on the same, but we hope that the actor, who’s basking in the success of War gives a nod to the film and we get to see a fresh pairing on-screen.
