Geeta Basra Reveals She Was Initially Dubious About Getting Too Serious With Harbhajan Singh: 'You Get To Hear They're Flamboyant, Have Girlfriends'

Actor Geeta Basra and Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh tied the knot in 2015 after dating for a while. The couple even shares a lovely daughter named, Hinaya Heer Plaha who was born in 2016. Currently, the duo is beaming with joy as they are expecting their second child soon. However, in a recent chat, Geeta revealed there was a time when she was sceptical about getting too serious with Harbhajan because of the rumours she'd heard about cricketers. She was dubious because of the stories like ‘they are flamboyant, have girlfriends and girls line up to meet them.’
“Those days were very different. Being linked to someone was a very big thing. I remember a very big actress who got married in those days had to leave a film because that movie's producers were worried that she would soon become pregnant. On similar lines, I had got lots of offers after my debut film The Train but they never made headway,” she also told Hindustan Times. However, as the couple is gearing up for baby number 2, Geeta Basra who has taken a hiatus from movies revealed in another interview why she never returned to work after starting a family with Harbhajan Singh.
Geeta asserted she would consider returning to work when she is ready, and that women should follow their passions and not be defined by 'motherhood' alone. She said, "I enjoy what I used to do, and when the time comes, and when I'm ready, I will definitely head back to work.”
In March, Geeta and Harbhajan announced the second pregnancy news and they shared some adorable family pictures on social media where their daughter was seen excited to be a big sister.
