Genelia Deshmukh On Her Sons Being Unaware About Her Acting Career: ‘They Thought Aai Was At Home And Baba Only Goes Out, Dances And Comes Back’-EXCLUSIVE
Even after almost 18 years in the Hindi film industry, Genelia Deshmukh is still considered one of the cutest actresses out there. She is remembered for her roles like Aditi in Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Bindhiya in Masti or Mini in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. Her real-life husband, Riteish Deshmukh, played her reel-life partner too in two of these three films

Amongst all her films, Jaane Tu… and TAere Naal Love Ho Gaya are one of the most successful and memorable films of the actress. Now, that both her sons, Riaan and Rahyl, are a bit grown up, one must wonder that they would have seen these two films of their mother, especially since the latter feature both their parents. Ask Genelia for a confirmation on the same, and she shares, “They haven’t.”

Recently, the actress admitted to SpotboyE.com that she was ready to come back to acting, but at home, her kids weren’t even aware of that side of her life for a long time. The actress goes on to reveal, “For the longest time, they didn’t know that I was an actor. They thought Aai was at home and Baba only goes out, dances and comes back. They haven’t really been a part of our shooting lives as much because we didn’t take them to that.”

Genelia’s kids got the first glimpse of their shoot life during Riteish’s shoot of Housefull 4. “The first time they realised about our work was when Riteish was doing the Bala song. It was the first time I took them to the shoot, and my elder son was so unimpressed saying, ‘What are you doing baba? You are only dancing’,” she signs off with a laugh.
