GET NOSTALGIC: Yesteryear Beauties Hema Malini & Vyjayanthimala Clicked In One Frame
Yesteryear beauties, Hema Malini and Vyjayanthimala were spotted together a while ago in Chennai. They had come up for the promotion of a dance stage show called Synergy. While Hema Malini was the organising head of the show, Vyjayanthimala was one of the chief guests. Baba Ramdev also graced the event as a special guest. Hema took to social media to share pictures from the event.

Hema has been quite actively promoting various dance forms throughout her life. She is herself a trained Bharatnatyam dancer, and made sure that her two daughters were also equally well versed with the dance form.

Talking about the event, Bollywood has always shared a bond with Georgia, even in 1954 when Raj Kapoor visited Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, and he welcomed the Georgian National Ballet – Sukhishvili dance troupe to India and even played host for Holi with them at RK Studio. Incidentally, Hema had made her debut with Raj Kapoor in Sapnon Ka Saudagar (1969).  Hema Malini has continued that trend, and invited the same troupe to perform in Synergy -  a unique confluence of Georgian Dance Ballet and Indian cultural dance, as the two countries share common spiritual values, and bonding inspired by cinema and culture. The performances were held in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai.

Coming back to the two beauties of golden era, Hema has always considered Vyjayanthimala her idol. Hence the caption of the pic says, "#Synergy ends on a high note in Chennai. Was extremely delighted to have my idol Vyjayanthimala ji and Ramdev Baba ji for the Indo Georgian dance ballet Sukishvili. Once again, I would like to thank my entire team for working so hard to make this a grand success (sic)."

No wonder looking at Hema's contribution, service and mission like zeal to promote Indian culture and dance, Hema Malini is virtually considered as the uncrowned cultural ambassador of India!
