GOLD TEASER OUT: Akshay Kumar Screams For Attention As a Hockey Obsessed Balbir Singh

Akshay Kumar released the trailer of Gold a few minutes
ago and we bet, it will give you goose bumps.
The teaser begins with Akshay Kumar ranting against the
English team in a drunken state. Somewhere in the middle of the teaser, he
decides to coach the Indian team and promises to an official that his coaching
would definitely get the nation a gold medal. The teaser narrates the inspiring
journey of the Indian team, rising from the ashes like a phoenix. The teaser
also features Naagin actress Mouni Roy, who makes her Bollywood debut with the
movie.
Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram account to share the
teaser. He wrote, “Abhi tak India chup tha. Ab hum log bolega aur duniya
sunega. #GoldTeaser Out Now. @excelmovies @faroutakhtar @ritesh_sid
@reemakagti1.”
The actors recently wrapped shooting for the film. Akshay
Kumar was seen partying along with the lead actors and the producers of
Gold.
Gold is the real life story of India's first Olympic Gold
Medal win as a free nation in 1948. Akshay plays the character of Balbir Singh
who was part of the Indian hockey team at that time. The film directed by Reema
Kagti will hit theatres on Independence Day 2018.
A few months ago, Akshay Kumar announced the release date
of the film on his Instagram account. He wrote, “Through every passing year, I
understood life a bit better. Through every film of mine, I learned something
new. They say every cloud has a silver lining, but the way I got
love from my well wishers, my dreams met their destination and my clouds got a
lining of Gold. As my age #TurnsGold, here's presenting the poster of Gold, a
film extremely close to my heart (sic).”
