Housefull 4: Akshay Kumar And Rana Daggubati To Get Into An Epic Qawwali Face-Off
As per the latest reports, actors Akshay Kumar and Rana Daggubati have shot a qawwali song with the cast members of Housefull 4
Housefull 4, touted to be one of the biggest and the costliest films of the year and will be the fourth installment in the Housefull franchise. The first three films were quite successful in the comedy genre and now fans of the franchise can’t wait for Housefull 4 to release and tickle the audiences’ funny bones. The film deals with the theme of reincarnation and now, as per latest reports, actors Akshay Kumar and Rana Daggubati have shot a qawwali song with the cast members.
A source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror that the song sequence is a face-off between Akshay and Rana at the center along with the rest of the cast including Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde, Johny and Jamie Lever, Ranjeet and Chunkey Panday. The source informed Mumbai Mirror, “It is at a crucial juncture and is on the lines of a fun conversation between the protagonist and antagonist.” Farhad Samji, the director of the film, has also penned the lyrics of the qawwali and composed the basic tune. The source further adds, “The song is set in the present era and was shot at a studio in Mumbai.”
Sajid Khan who was the director for the earlier three films in the popular franchise was also helming the fourth part but was replaced by Farhad Samji due to sexual assault charges leveled against him last year. In fact, Nana Patekar too was replaced for a similar reason and Rana Daggubati was brought onboard. The film is slated for a Diwali 2019 release.
