IPL 2021: Shah Rukh Khan Pens Motivational Tweet For Kolkata Knight Riders Despite Loss Against CSK; Lauds Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, Dinesh Karthik

In last night’s IPL match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), CSK beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 18 runs. A few days ago, Bollywood superstar and co-owner of the Kolkata-based franchise, Shah Rukh Khan, had apologized to fans after KKR’s disappointing performance against Mumbai Indians (MI). Now, he has penned a motivational tweet for Kolkata Knight Riders after last night’s performance, despite their loss against CSK at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.
Shah Rukh Khan was all praise for Kolkata Knight Riders, and he hailed KKR stars Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, and Dinesh Karthik, in his tweet. He lauded KKR’s fighting spirit, and wrote that the team played quite well. Shah Rukh wrote about not looking at what could have been, or what should have been, and instead, he congratulated the players for their performance. His tweet read, “Coulda…woulda…shoulda can take a backseat tonight…@KKRiders was quite awesome I feel. ( oops if we can forget the batting power play!!) well done boys…@Russell12A@patcummins30@DineshKarthik try and make this a habit…we will be back!!”

KKR fans were delighted and while one fan wrote, “Always in the heart ..ShahRukh our #KKR they did try very hard .. Made us fans proud & you too our @KKRiders You encouraging them will give them more confidence to try their best. Shout out to our boys Lots of love to you #Knight. Take care Love you,” another one wrote, “My Warrior King, it makes us feel sad not getting to win the match, but I know it would hurt us way more if we lost it with a big margin. But we didn't! We fought back a Heroic Battle & almost reached their huge target! Not winning this one is not a defeat either. I am so Proud.”
