Joining the bandwagon of the stars contributing to various charities taking care of people in need during COVID-19 is actor Irrfan Khan. Maintaining a distance from the media, as he undergoes his cancer treatment, the actor taking to this social networking account mentioned about lending his support during the ongoing pandemic. The actor has announced of observing a fast on Friday i.e. tomorrow on April 10 to support migrant daily wage workers, who are suffering the most due the lockdown period.

He tweeted, “I support this because I believe we need to change from the roots #gramsevasangha #oneworld” The picture carried in his post read, “To repent for what we have done to the migrant labourers, I support the Friday Fast.” As soon as the actor tweeted, his followers replied asking him about his health and also prayed for his speedy recovery. A big salute to the actor for coming in support of the migrant workers in a most relatable manner.

This tweet of the actor caused a wave of excitement among his followers.


The last tweet of the actor had come just yesterday which mentioned his virtual get together with his Angrezi Medium’s co-stars. Though we would see faces of the rest of them, Irrfan chose to keep his face covered in the image shared by him on his social networking account.
