Ever since it was announced, names like Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif have come up for this remake. Though none of the mentioned names has confirmed or hinted us in any way, we still got to see some new names making its way to the list. This time, rumours are rife that Anushka Sharma is the new one in the league. According to Filmfare, Anushka might be in the race to bag the lead role in Satte Pe Satta remake.
It is also reported that the makers have already approached the actress and she is considering her role before she gives a nod to this film. Well, if this rumour turns out to be true, it would be interesting to see the Zero actress stepping into Hema Malini's shoes who was the lead in the original 1982 film. What say?
SpotboyE.com exclusively reported that Preity Zinta will be essaying the role of Seema aka Rajeeta's role in Farah Khan's Satte Pe Satta remake. In February, Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan made a big announcement of them collaborating together for an action-comedy film. It is said that the two are planning to remake Amitabh Bachchan’s 1982 superhit film Satte Pe Satta, but with a twist in the tale.
Talking about the original film, Satte Pe Satta was a 1982 blockbuster starring Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Amjad Khan, Ranjeeta Kaur, Sachin, Shakti Kapoor, Paintal, Sudhir, Inderjeet, Sarika, Kanwaljit Singh, Prema Narayan, Mac Mohan and Kalpana Iyer and others. The film was an adaptation of the American musical film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
