Is Emraan Hashmi's film with Azhar director SHELVED or DELAYED?
Emraan Hashmi has embarked on a new journey as a producer with his home banner Emraan Hashmi Films. “I’m really excited to turn producer in collaboration with Tony D’Souza, who is an extremely talented filmmaker and a great friend,” Emraan had said in a statement.

He had added that he is looking “forward to presenting audiences with some great content, with equal entertainment value”.

But till date, there is no sign of that film. Rumours are flying that it may not happen.

Emraan's last film with Tony, which narrated cricketer Azharuddin’s life as the captain of the Indian cricket team for most of the 1990s, did not live up to expectations.

D’Souza also was on cloud nine when Emraan had spoken about their second venture. D'souza had said, “Emraan and I are happy to join hands on this venture. While we cannot disclose much at this juncture, we are finalising the script and the casting."

So, we called Sunny Khanna who is supposed to have invested in the 'upcoming' film. Khanna maintained that the film will happen soon.

Sunny's version: "We have been delayed by Emraan's unavailability. He continues to shoot for Baadshaho, which is delayed due to Ajay's mom being unwell since the past few months. As soon as Emraan is free from Baadshaho, we will start work on his new film with Tony."

Baadshaho is an upcoming Indian action thriller film by T-Series written by Rajat Arora and directed by Milan Luthria. It stars Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Ileana D'Cruz and Vidyut Jammwal in the lead roles. A large part of Baadshaho has been shot in Rajasthan.

Back to Emraan and Tony. Going by Khanna's response to our query, the film should go on floors in two-three months.
