It’s Official: Priyanka Chopra Will Reunite With Sanjay Leela Bhansali For Gustakhiyan

Priyanka Chopra will headline the cast of Sanjay Leela
Bhansali’s Gustakhiyan. The film will be Bhansali’s next project after he wraps
up Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer Padmavati.
Recent reports had claimed that Bhansali had roped in
Deepika and Irrfan Khan for the film but SpotboyE.com can tell you that it is
Priyanka, who will be the leading lady of Gustakhiyan.

Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have a long and
storied history. The Baywatch beauty and the filmmaker first got together to
shoot the much-talked about special number Ram Chahe Leela In Goliyon Ki
Rasleela: Ram-Leela in 2013.
Then Priyanka stole the show with her role as Kashi Bai
in the 2015 hit Bajirao Mastani which again starred Bhansali’s favourite
pairing, Ranveer and Deepika.

And now Priyanka will have the spotlight firmly trained
on her in Gustakhiyan.
The details of the project are not known but according to
reports the film is based on the real-life romance of literary giants, Sahir
Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam.
The grapevine had also claimed that none other than Shah
Rukh Khan will play Sahir Ludhianvi.
Gustakhiyan will thus mark Priyanka Chopra’s grand return
to Bollywood.
The actress has spent the past couple of years
establishing herself in the US as a crossover star. Priyanka hit the bull’s eye
with Quantico, which has just been picked up for a third season. Priyanka’s
turn as the glamorous vamp in Dwayne Johnson-Zac Efron starrer Baywatch was well received, even though the film failed at the box-office.
