The trailer of Jabariya Jodi trailer has been unveiled and the story which is based on the concept of Pakadwa vivah promises a fun ride with Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra spearheading the cast
After fans went crazy over this duo in 2014 film Hasee Toh Phasee, Sidharth Malhotra, and Parineeti Chopra reunite for Jabariya Jodi and the trailer was unveiled today. The actors look amazing together. While Sidharth plays the role of a thug, Parineeti plays the role of his love interest who is on a conquest to win his love. The actors have nailed their Bhojpuri accent.
Jabariya Jodi is based on a thug who kidnaps grooms in order to avoid paying out their dowries for their upcoming marriages. The trailer starts with Sidharth Malhotra as the actor says, “Bihar mein teen tarah se jodiya banti ha babu, Himmatwalo ki arrange ho rahi hai, Kismatwalo ki love Jodi, aur Dahej ke laalchiyon ki Jabariya Vyaah,” clearly specifies that in Bihar marriages are of three types, arranged for the brave-hearted, love marriage for the lucky ones and forceful marriage for the ones who are greedy for dowry.
In the film, the actor is seen kidnapping the grooms who ask for dowry. The film is based on the concept of forced marriages, prevalent in Bihar till a few years ago, wherein the groom is kidnapped by the bride’s family and forced into marriage. The actor plays the role of a thug Abhay Singh who saves the bride’s family from giving dowry during the time of marriage. After, fifty-eight seconds of the trailer, comes in Parineeti Chopra, as Babli Yadav, a badass girl who does not fear anyone. While Parineeti develops a love interest in Siddharth, the actor dreams to be the MLA. Siddharth’s love for being MLA rather than marriage and Parineeti’s conquest to win the actor for marriage is a war of love, worth the watch.

The film stars Sidharth Malhotra playing Abhay Singh, a Bihari thug and Parineeti Chopra playing Babli Yadav, a badass girl. Jabariya Jodi is an upcoming Indian romantic comedy and is based upon the tradition of groom kidnapping, prevalent in Bihar.
