Janam Kundli Director Tariq Shah Passes Away; Breathes His Last In Mumbai Hospital
Veteran Bollywood actor-director Tariq Shah passed away today on April 3. He breathed his last on Saturday morning in a private hospital in Mumbai. The actor-director was the husband of actress Shoma Anand. Reportedly, late Tariq Shah had been suffering from kidney ailments for the past two years. And, he was on dialysis. Tariq Shah is known for directing the 1995 film Janam Kundli. The film starred Jeetendra, Vinod Khanna, Reena Roy and Anupam Kher. The veteran and wife Shoma Anand have a daughter, Sarah Shah.

Tariq Shah is predominantly known for his work in Janam Kundlu and 1980 show Kadwa Sach. He has also directed 1990 release Baahar Aane Tak. Shah last featured in the film Mumbai Central. The actor played the role of a Tailor master in the 2016 release. According to a report on IMDb, Tariq Shah also acted in Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

Meanwhile, Tariq Shah’s wife Shoma Anand is known for her work in films and television. The actress started her career opposite late Rishi Kapoor in the film Barood. The movie was helmed by Pramod Chakraborty. She then went on to star in films Jagir, Coolie, Jaise Karani Waisi Bharani, Hungama, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum and Kal Ho Naa Ho. In terms of television shows, the actress featured in the show Hum Paanch. She was also a part of TV soap Bhabhi and Shararat.

Currently, late Tariq Shah’s wife features in the show Maayka. She is essaying the role of Jeet’s mother and Soni’s mother-in-law on the show. The actress has also been part of films Aag Aur Shola, Judaai, Aap Ke Dewaane, Hungama, Ghar Ek Mandir and several others. Tariq Shah's last rites will take place in the evening at Mumbai's Yari Road.
