COVID-19 Hits TV Industry Hard: Actor Abrar Qazi, Narayani Shastri And Anupamaa Producer Rajan Shahi Test Positive
Looks like the television world is being troubled by COVID-19 really badly. 3 more celebrities- Abrar Qazi, Narayani Shastri and Rajan Shahi- have tested positive for Coronavirus
Yesterday, we reported to you that Rupali Ganguly, who essays the title role in television's highest TRP rated show Anupamaa, has tested positive for COVID-19. Along with Rupali, her onscreen son Paritosh aka Aashish Mehrotra and husband Vanraj aka Sudhanshu Pandey have also contracted the virus.
And in the latest development, show's producer Rajan Shahi has also tested positive. Also, two other popular names of television industry- Abrar Qazi and Narayani Shastri have tested positive today. Rajan Shahi- the famous producer who has been producing ongoing shows like Anupamaa, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya - 2 And Aai Kuthe Kaay Karte has released a statement to confirm the news. His official statement reads, "I have tested positive for Covid-19. I was having symptoms, and this morning the result came positive. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all the safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Please stay safe and take care of yourself and the others around you. These are tough times for all of us, but be optimistic, wear your masks, keep a sanitizer handy and maintain social distancing. Thank you for all your love and support."
Also, TV actor Abrar Qazi who is playing Rudraksh in Yeh Hain Chahtein has contracted the virus due to which the shoot has been put on halt.
Ekta Kapoor's production house Balaji Telefilms has also released a statement which reads, "Actor Abrar Qazi who is an integral part of the TV show Yeh Hai Chahatein has tested positive for COVID-19. As soon as the symptoms were detected, he received medical help and quarantined himself. Immediately thereupon the entire cast & crew were isolated and tested. The BMC is informed and the sets will be fumigated and sterilized as per the protocol. Currently, the artist is receiving medical attention and under home quarantine. We are constantly in touch with the entire team as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all measures prescribed by the authorities are being adhered to.”
Famous television actress Narayani Shastri, who is currently essaying the role of Rajvi in her TV show Aapki Nazro Ne Samjha, has tested positive today. In the statement released by the production house, it was mentioned, "Actor Narayani Shastri who is an integral part of the TV show Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha has unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19. She is receiving medical attention and is home quarantined at the moment. Immediately thereupon the entire cast & crew were isolated and tested. The BMC is informed and the sets will be fumigated and sterilized as per the protocol. We are constantly in touch with the entire team as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all measures prescribed by the authorities are being adhered to."
