Actor Janhvi Kapoor who made her big Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s production film, Dhadak has been signing some fruitful projects. After receiving rave reviews for her portrayal in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Roohi, Janhvi is all set to amaze her fans once again with the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film, Helen. Last year, it was reported the actor has signed the dotted lines, now, giving an update on the movie, ETimes report claims Janhvi will begin the shoot for Helen remake in the month of August.
A source close to the development told the publication, “The film needs to be shot at real locations but we will begin with an indoor shoot first. The production team is planning to start the shoot in August and the crew is currently in the preparation phase.” Reportedly, the Hindi title of the film is said to be ‘Mili’; however, a confirmation on the same is awaited. Initially, Janhvi was to begin shooting for the film in June but the schedule got deferred due to the extension of the second COVID-19 lockdown.
Helen was helmed by Mathukutty Xavier who will also be directing the remake version of it. The original film featured actors Anna Ben and Lal in lead roles. Despite the story demand foreign locations, the cast and the crew will not be travelling abroad due to travel restrictions, as reported by the portal.
Talking about the original film, Helen, the 2019 survival thriller won two National Awards - one for best director and the other one was for Make-up artist. Reportedly, the film was remade into Tamil as Anbirkiniyal while Kannada and Telugu versions of the film are also said to be in the making.
