Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh’s trailer was dropped online, yesterday. The almost 3-minute long trailer sees Kapoor in two different avatars- a college rebel and later a surgeon who takes a self-destruction path after losing the love of his life. While the audience is all praises for the actor, Kapoor’s different dialogues from the film have been used to make hilarious memes on the Internet.

As soon as the trailer was unveiled, fans took to Twitter to share jokes and memes. Trailer’s punch line "Nahi aaunga matlab nahi aaunga. Bola naa nahi aaunga” and ‘rebel with a cause’- these have caught fans attention in particular. Not just this, Twitterati didn’t even spare Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor in their memes. A user compared its dialogues with SOTY 2 and wrote, “When your whole gang is going for SOTY 2 but you don't because you have read the genuine Movie Reviews.#KabirSinghTrailer”. Meanwhile at the trailer launch, talking about the film Shahid Kapoor said, “To me, watching a film like Kabir Singh will help understand that when you allow yourself to be affected by those things, it can take you on the path of destruction. It can warn you from going in that route. For people who might’ve been there, it can be therapeutic. Cinema acts as a medicine. If you see something you relate to, it helps you have catharsis of sorts.” Kabir Singh is a Hindi remake of the hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Directed by the Sandeep Vanga, the film is slated to release on June 21.
