It’s time for double celebration at Rakesh Roshan’s house. One, his son, Hrithik Roshan’s debut film, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai has completed 19 years and second, he is back home after a successful surgery. A few days back, Hrithik had announced that his father is battling early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. On the day of the surgery, he wrote, “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. Love you Dad.”


He then replied to PM Narendra Modi’s tweet for papa Roshan saying that the surgery went off well. Hrithik then posted a family picture once Rakesh Roshan was discharged and the caption read, “Cant stop. Won’t stop. We begin again. And again.”  Now, that the filmmaker is back home, he has given us the first statement post his return. When we inquired about his health, he told us, “Yes, I am much better. All good! No worries. God is great!”

You may recall, the family celebrated Hrithik’s birthday post Rakesh Roshan’s surgery. Sharing a picture from the intimate celebration, the superstar wrote, “And he’s up and about Power of love! Thank you all for being with him and helping him power through. Today was a great day.” We are glad the ace filmmaker is back home and we wish him good health.
