Secret Superstar actress Zaira Wasim quitting Bollywood has created quite a stir in the film industry recently. She took to her social media to announce her decision to quit Bollywood due to her religious beliefs. The news shocked many, and while some people thought it was her decision and respected it, some thought that her views are rather regressive.
Most celebrities in Bollywood had an opinion on the matter. However, we still hadn’t heard from Kangana Ranaut, who is known for her very strong opinions on matters in Bollywood. Kanagana finally opened up about Zaira Wasim’s decision of quitting Bollywood at the launch of her new song Wakhra from the film Judgementall Hai Kya. Kangana was asked by a reported about Zaira Wasim’s decision and whether art can really affect someone’s religion. To which Kangana replied “I think any religion should empower you. It should make you independent, make you fulfill your life and if you think your life is already fulfilled, there's plenty of work around you. Try and help your family and friends. Kaveri is drying up. There's so much to do. So work and try and fulfill the environment around you. The essential fundamental requirement of any religion is to empower you, not disempower you.”
The actress is clearly not one to mince her words! Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Judgementall Hai Kya. The film stars Kangana and Rajkumarr Rao in leading roles and will release on July 26, 2019.
