Kangana Ranaut REFUTES Rumours About Her Film Emergency Being Shot In The Parliament; Says, 'It's A Fake News!'
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is known for being blunt. The actress, who is currently busy shooting for her upcoming movie Emergency, has reacted to the rumours surrounding the period-drama. A few days ago, PTI had reported that the actress has sought permission of the Lok Sabha Secretariat to let the film shoot inside the Parliament premises.

Taking to her official Instagram account, Kangana shared a screenshot of the article and called it ‘fake news’. Resharing a post that read, “First time ever a movie is allowed to shoot in parliament, a small segment of Emergency movie will shoot soon in parliament,” Kangana wrote the caption, “That's not true it's a fake news!!!” ALSO READ: Kangana Ranaut Recalls Sister Rangoli Chandel Suffering ACID ATTACK: ‘I Went Through Therapy Because I Feared Anyone Passing Me Might Throw Acid On Me’

For the unversed, according to the media agency’s claim the actress, who is also directing the film, wrote a letter to the Lok Sabha Secretariat requesting them to let her shoot a part of her film in the Parliament. The article had further stated that while her request is being considered, she will most likely be dined as private entities are not granted the permission to shoot or record anything inside the premises. Only state broadcasters Doordarshan and Sansad TV are officially allowed to shoot programs and events inside the Parliament.

Speaking of Emergency, the movie is Kangana’s first solo directorial. A period political drama, the movie is based on the emergency period in India during the mid-70s, which was announced by the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. She will play the role of the late Prime Minister in the film. The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles.
