At the ongoing International Film Festival Of India in
Goa, Shekhar Kapur revealed that he is writing a script for Kangana Ranaut."I am desperate to make another film in India. I
want to come home and make a film. When I made 'Masoom', nobody was expecting
anything from me. I wasn't expecting anything from myself. It is a terrible
space for a filmmaker to be in," he said.
When asked about the current status of his script with Kangana Ranaut, he said, "I am currently writing the script. It is a beautiful script."
A report has it that the film Kangana might play the role of an 85-year-old lady in this project. Kapur also said that movie will have the same feels which his iconic movie Masoom had. But, won’t be a sequel or a continuation.
Interestingly, she is also playing an 80-year-old in her directorial debut Teju. Speaking to a leading daily, Kangana had said, “Yes, I will play an 80-year-old woman in my first directorial, Teju. She is a warm, vibrant woman, full of life, who doesn’t feel old at all.” Her character may have her legs hanging in grave but she is still not ready to leave the world.
Recently, we told you that Kangana Ranaut had got injured on-the-sets of Manikarnika while shooting an action sequence of the film and was wheeled out of Mumbai Airport.
Shekhar Kapur’s Paani which was set to go on floors in June 2015, didn’t get materialised. The film starred Sushant Singh Rajput among a few other faces as Paani.
We hope his this film with Kangana Ranaut does not face
similar fate as Paani.
