Kim Kardashian surprised everyone with her appearance at Met Gala as she arrived covered in black fabric from head to toe
The Met Gala event brought the biggest of celebrities in their complete glory onto the walking carpet. However, it was Kim Kardashian who caught everyone’s attention after she made the most unique appearance on Monday night.
The beauty mogul arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, covered from head to toe in black fabric. Not an inch of her skin was visible, only her long ponytail hung behind her head.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan is puzzled by Kim’s Met Gala outfit. Taking to her Instagram stories, the 40-year-old actress shared a picture of Kim and Balenciaga designer Demna Gvasalia, who accompanied her on the red carpet in a similar, all-black outfit. She wrote, “Ye kya ho raha hai (What is even happening)," and added the cringe-face emoji.

On the other hand, Kareena’s BFF Malaika Arora had a somewhat similar reaction. Sharing the same picture Malaika wrote, “WATS GOIN ON?”

Met Gala was delayed from its usual scheduled date on the first Monday in May as last year's gala was cancelled owing to the pandemic. This year's official theme of the fundraiser for the museum's Costume Institute was ‘American Independence’, which left plenty of room for interpretation. While the gathering was about a third smaller than usual with around 300 guests, proof of vaccination was also required, though the attendees did not wear masks while posing upon their arrival.
Kim Kardashian's could be easily termed as the most shocking of the night. The gala also saw appearances of celebrities like Ben Affleck with Jennifer Lopez, Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish, Alexandra Ocasio Cortez and Camila Cabello.
