The actress is currently gearing up for the release of Good Newwz which co-stars Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh. As the film is all set to hit the theatres on December 27, it has been grabbing headlines with its songs and dialogue promo every other day.

In her recent interview with Mid-Day the actress shed some light on the downfalls of being a popular star. She told the leading tabloid that the perception of her as a diva has overshadowed the actor in her. She said, “People have assumed I am a diva, but I loathe the word now. My PR is not strong; there’s zero strategy behind my moves. I have never bothered about projecting myself as a serious actor. I am happy when my fans are happy and my film is a success. While in a conversation with PTI when she was asked if we can one be honest about someone's work in the industry, Kareena, "I don't think so. They don't take it well. If you want the truth, they don't take it well. I'd like someone to tell me if they didn't like a particular film, at least the people I am close to, I'd expect the honest truth. It's important for actors and stars to have people around them to show them the reality. I'm very practical when it comes to that. I've never liked having yes men around me. Probably early on when you're young, you get excited and do that but now I'm way too practical.”
