Kareena Kapoor Khan Quotes A Whopping Amount For KV Vijayendra Prasad's Sita; Makers Think Of Opting For Another Actress?
As per reports in the media, Kareena Kapoor Khan has quoted Rs. 12 crores, thus leaving the makers in a tight spot thinking about casting another actress
After the success of the Baahubali series, many filmmakers from the south, as well as Bollywood, were seen collaborating on movies. One of the most anticipated movies to be helmed by South filmmaker is Sita; the script of the movie is penned by Baahubali’s writer KV Vijayendra Prasad. Makers were originally keen to cast Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role, however, as per reports in BollywoodHungama, actress quoting a huge sum has left the makers in a tight spot.
To be directed by Alaukik Desai, this film on Sita is currently titled Sita: The Incarnation and Kareena has demanded Rs. 12 crores for the same. While most actresses sign a film for Rs. 6-7 crore, this big moolah by Bebo has got the makers thinking of opting for the second choice on the list. Before filming for Sita, Kareena will shoot for Veere Di Wedding 2 and Hansal Mehta’s next as they can be completed in a shorter period as compared to this Mythological flick.
Currently, the actor is working on the body, a source told, "Kareena will shoot for Veere Di Wedding 2 and Hansal Mehta’s film first because they are smaller films that will be completed in one month’s time each. Sita will need at least 8-10 months of prep, shoot and production. So she will be completely consumed by one film at that point but Bebo (Kareena) also realises that this will be her biggest magnum opus till date, as it’s a retelling of Ramayana from Sita’s point of view."
The source further added, "In fact, right now, they are reconsidering their decision and also taking the film to a younger actress, as well. But talks are on and Bebo remains the first choice." While writer and director both are keen to have Kareena Kapoor on board, the actress also finds the role apt for her. Besides this, it is also reported that makers have Alia Bhatt as their second choice.
Meanwhile, Bebo’s team is working on her dates and her fees, source added, "Kareena’s team is now figuring out dates and remuneration for the same. Once the modalities are worked out, a formal announcement will be made. In case, it doesn’t work out with Kareena, then Alia is their second pick for the period saga." She will be next seen in Laal Singh Chaddha co-starring Aamir Khan.
