Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has seen a lot of highs and lows in his career. Being considered as one of the under-appreciated actors, he has proved his mettle by essaying versatile roles with much conviction. Apart from his professional journey, during the initial phase of his career, he often made the headlines for his romantic relationships with his female co-stars, one of them being Kareena Kapoor Khan. At the time, the ex-couple never shied away from talking about their relationship in the public.
It was in 2004 that a video of the duo kissing had been leaked and went viral. As PDA and lip-locks were not common against couples in India, they had gone on to deny the video and even called it a morphed clip. Now in a recent interview with Mid-Day, Shahid recalled how the leaked video affected him personally. Talking about the same, he expressed how he felt destroyed. The 42-year-old went on to add, “So I was a mess wondering ‘what’s happened, what’s going on?’ Of course it affects you a lot and at that age especially. You don’t even know your own feelings and you’re figuring out how to be with a girl and you’re dating. For the unversed, Shahid and Kareena have starred together in movies like Fida, 36 China Town, Chup Chup Ke, Jab We Met, Milenge Milenge and Udta Punjab. They ended their relationship in 2007 and moved on in their lives. While he married Mira Rajput Kapoor, she tied the knot with actor Saif Ali Khan.
On the work front, last seen in Bloody Daddy, Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in Laxman Utekar’s untitled romantic comedy co-starring Kriti Sanon. The movie also stars Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles.
