Kartik Aaryan Joins The Big League Of Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan; To Share Profits With The Producers Of Dhamaka- EXCLUSIVE
After proving to be a safe bet at the box office, Kartik Aaryan will now share the profits of his film, starting with Dhamaka. Read the exclusive report
The days when A-list actors charged through the roof, and then some more, sometimes their fee being more than the budget of the entire film, is over. Big stars are trying to find a way out of the current financial crisis that has hit every industry. The entertainment industry has been hit harder than most for its high stakes. A-list stars who were adamant on receiving fees in double-digit crores are now happy to share with the film’s profits as and when the surplus amount rolls in.
This is the payment model that Kartik Aaryan has accepted for his next film Dhamaka. A source close to the development informs, “It makes sense, doesn’t it? To have stars accepting their remuneration only when the profits show up on the budget sheets. Kartik has teamed up as co-producer with the film’s director Ram Madhvani in a profit-sharing agreement.”
Dhamaka is the remake of a Korean film The Terror Live. The Dhamaka makers didn’t even try to hide the source, as the first poster bore a striking resemblance to the original Korean poster. The film is a one-set thriller and therefore moderately budgeted. The ‘Think Big’ mantra has been put on hold in the entertainment industry. For now, it’s ‘Think Manageable’.
Apart from Dhamaka, Kartik will be also seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2 among others. Just yesterday the actor celebrated one year of Pati Patni Aur Woh and asked the fans to pick between two looks.
